For three decades, the physical security industry treated cybersecurity as a line item — something to minimize, not something to lead with. We took the opposite position. Knightscope is engineering every component of the Autonomous Security Force — hardware, software, and the humans who operate it — to United States federal government cybersecurity standards.
Not as a premium tier.
As the floor.
The same standard a federal agency requires is the standard we build for the hospital, the campus, the data center, the transit system, and the retailer. One standard. Every client. No exceptions.
Most vendors manage compliance as a cost. We publish it as proof.
A weak cyber story is where most security programs — and most security vendors — quietly fail. Your CISO either signs off or the deal dies. We made our cyber posture the strongest part of the argument, not the part we hope no one examines. The credentials below are verifiable. We invite the scrutiny.
The Knightscope Autonomous Security Robot is FedRAMP authorized at the Moderate impact level (Rev 5) and listed on the official U.S. government FedRAMP Marketplace, with an Authority to Operate (ATO) in place. This is the same federal cloud-security framework demanded of the vendors trusted inside government agencies.
Knightscope signed a two-year agreement to join Palantir's FedStart program. Our software operates within Palantir-managed AWS GovCloud — backed by accredited infrastructure, continuous monitoring, and quarterly third-party assessments. The work is independently checked, on a schedule, by parties who do not work for us.
Through FedStart, Knightscope is on an accelerated pathway to a FedRAMP High and U.S. Department of Defense Impact Level 5 (IL5) accredited environment, with direct Authority to Operate support. These are the credentials required to operate in the most security-conscious environments in the Nation — and the bar we are building the entire platform to clear.
Cybersecurity has always been the industry's cost center — a tax to be minimized. We are turning it into a competitive advantage. Every client, federal or commercial, operates on the same federal-grade foundation. We do not sell a "secure version." There is one version, built to the highest bar we can clear, and it is mandatory across the board.
The legacy guard companies cannot credibly make this claim. We can — because we build it, we run it, and we are accountable for it. Every patrol, every sensor check, every escalation, every AI decision: logged, timestamped, exportable.
The same federal-grade discipline governs the data itself — collection, use, sharing, retention, and your rights. We may use the data we collect to develop, train, and improve the Autonomous Security Force; controls align with our System Security Plan; and we do not sell your personal information.
